Abstract
In order to investegate the knowledge, attitude and practice on family planning of women residing in rural area, we have studied about 1492 married women in the reproductive ages of 20-44 through interwiew in 1968.
The results
Abtained were summerized as follons:
Acceptance rate of family planning:
By age of married women: the rate was the highest in age group between 35-39 years old.
By educational level: the rate was higher in high educated group than low educated group. By number of living son: the rate was higher among more than 3 sons than less than 2 sons.
By number of living children: the rate was highter among more than 4 children than less than 3 children.
By induced abortion: the rate was as higher as two times higher among experienced group than not experienced group.
The main reasons of non contraceptives were lack of children and sons.
The rate of practicing contraceptive methods in curler wa l. U. D. (45 ). Oral Pill (30.0%), Condom and Uasectomv.
